Fit Out Design

The new retail park on the site of the former Caithness Glass Factory and Visitor Centre in Perth provides some 6660m2 of retail space with carparking. Accommodation is one floor, however the option of client fit out to provide mezzanine floor space has bene incorporated into the design.

A particular feature is the glazed canopy along the majority of the frontage.  Externally the building is clad in a mix of materials including curtain wall glazing, insulated render, stonework and profiled cladding.

The two ends units have taller glazed entrance to features.

The accommodation is spread over seven connected units of steel portal frame construction that spans up to 35m.  There is flexibility to combine units to form larger retail spaces.

The external carparks utilise porous paving and porous asphalt discharging to the ground via soakaways, as the surface water management system.

Service access roads are provided to the rear and treated and discharge via infiltration trenches.
