Two new build car showrooms and service garages constructed on a single site for BMW and Mini.  The design aesthetic was dictated heavily by the Planning department and definitive brand image set by BMW.

The site was on the Marshalls chicken factory and extensive remediation of the site was undertaken prior to commencing the building work.  The site is predominantly covered in hard standing and building with only perimeter landscaping and the surface water management system incorporates and defined management train of porous paving, filter trenches and attenuation prior to discharge to the adjacent river.

The building for both showrooms are steel framed with concrete ground bearing slabs.  Upper floors are of precast concrete construction on steel framework.  Foundations are support of vibro improvement piles after significant earthworks operation.

The main feature of the building in the large extent of feature glazing and roof overhangs.
